The Letter (Paket) is a Soviet 1965 made for TV adventure movie directed by Vladimir Nazarov and based on the story by Leonid Panteleyev. During the Russian civil war a Red Army soldier Trofimiv (Valeriy Zolotukhin) receives a mission to deliver an urgent message to Reds headquarters. But he is captured by White troops and has to use all his courage and cunning to complete the mission.

Nagant M1895

White Army Podporuchik (2nd Lt.) Gibel (Boris Novikov) carries a Nagant M1895 revolver. It isn't seen outside the holster.

Mauser C96 pistols are carries by Red commanders Zavarukhin (Gennady Sayfulin) and Belopolskiy (Anatoliy Kuznetsov). Both carry their pistols in signature wooden holsters.
