The Halt of Wanderers (Prival strannikov) is a 1991 (filmed 1990) Soviet detective mini series directed by Aleksandr Blank and based on the eponymous novel by Anatoliy Stepanov. Aleksandr Ivanovich Smirnov, retired detective of Moscow Ugolovny Rozysk (criminal police), meets with his old friends Spiridonov and Lomidze in a cafe "Prival strannikov" ("The Halt of Wanderers"). Next day the cafe ceases to operate. Smirnov shows interest to this fact, but when a district militsiya inspector studies the reasons for closing the cafe at Smirnov's request, the inspector is found dead. Smirnov begins a private investigation, which leads to the discovery of the frightening truth.
The following weapons were used in the film The Halt of Wanderers (Prival strannikov):
Aleksandr Ivanovich Smirnov (Yuriy Stoskov) owns an unregistred Luger P08. In one scene he uses the pistol with sound suppressor. Moscow Ugolovny Rozysk detective Syrtsov (Vladimir Borisov) uses a P08 when firing at a killer; next moment his pistol switches to a Makarov PM (see below).
Walther P38
Due to a continuity error, Smirnov's Luger switches to a Walther P38 and then back to P08.
Makarov PM
Makarov PM pistols are service sidearms of Militsiya personnel, notably Syrtsov (Vladimir Borisov) and Capt. Leonid Makhov (Aleksei Simanovsky).
