The State Border: Film 8 (Russian Title: Государственная граница: На дальнем пограничье/Gosudarstvennaya granitsa: Na dalnem pograniche; "State Border: On the far borderlands") is a 1988 Soviet two-part television film directed by Gennadi Ivanov. "The State border" are the historical-adventure television series about the Soviet border guards. The action takes place in the period from 1917 to late 1980 on the territory of the USSR from the Far East to the western borders. The eighth film story takes place in late 1980 in one of the southern republics of the Soviet Union. Foreign intelligence services trying to transfer secret information over a border.

Submachine Guns

M1921AC Thompson

U.S. commandos fires M1921AC Thompson submachine guns (identified by its very high rate of fire) on shooting range in the flashback. This, of course, has long been an obsolete weapon, since in reality they have long been replaced by more modern SMGs, such as MP5.

M1928A1 Thompson

U.S. commandos continue to carry the Thompson SMGs during the mission, in this case the M19281A1.

U.S. commando holds the M1928A1 Thompson submachine gun. Note the non-standard magazine. It is worth noting that there are no any anti-water plugs, what in reality would most likely make the weapon inoperative after a dive.
