Talk:The Collection
I think the unknown SWAT weapon is one of the G36s. --Funkychinaman (talk) 02:05, 22 May 2013 (EDT)
Continuity error
So The Collector was filmed in Mansfield and Shreveport, Louisiana, with the basement scenes shot in Mobile, Alabama. However, a police cruier (and Arkin's truck in a deleted scene) has a fictionalized Illinois license plate (No state, but it has the motto "Land of Lincoln").
In this film, when Elena goes to her father, you get a nice shot of a police cruiser with "America's Best" and "To Serve and Protect", with the San Diego seal. (FYI, it was shot in Atlanta and Los Angeles.)
Strangely, (and possibly intentionally), the director took great care to make sure no license plates are clearly shown onscreen. Either vehicles are partly out of frame, or something is blocking the license plate. I had to do a frame by frame to make out the "Land of Lincoln" since it is very brief, and again, swiftly obscured by Hannah and an officer. (It should be noted the police in the films wear very generic shoulder patches with no writing. I was able to find some on eBay, actually.
Apparently, the first film was supposed to be set near Detroit, and this film seems to suggest that as well. So...either its a fictionalized version of Detroit, or the film is supposed to be set in a generic, fictional city. - User:1morey December 14, 2016 6:52 PM (EST)
