Manila Skies (Filipino: Himpapawid - "Sky") is a 2009 psychological thriller-drama starring Raul Arellano as Raul, an impoverished laborer in the slums of Manila. His living conditions, work, and surrounding pressures cause him to form a plan to hijack a plane. This film was directed by Raymond Red, father of Filipino film director Mikhail Red. It based on the true story of the 2000 hijacking of Philippine Airlines Flight 812.
