Memories of Murder (Korean: 살인의 추억) is a 2003 South Korean crime thriller film directed by Bong Joon-ho. It is based on the real-life Hwaseong serial murders committed by South Korea first recorded serial killer between 1986 and 1994- crimes which, at the time of the film's release, were unsolved.
In mid-1980s South Korea, a string of brutal murders rocks a rural province. The local detectives, unprepared and overwhelmed by a crime of this magnitude, struggle to find leads and suspects. As the murders continue, a detective from Seoul arrives to assist with the investigation, but the detectives are soon divided and increasingly desperate to solve the case that has slowly begun to take over their lives.

Taurus Model 85
Detective Seo Tae-yoon (Kim Sang-kyung) carries a Taurus Model 85 as his sidearm at the film's climax. Detective Park Doo-man (Song Kang-ho) also holds the revolver in the same scene.
