The 3.7 cm Pak 35/36 (full name "3,7 cm Panzerabwehrkanone 35/36") was a German anti-tank gun developed in 1928 by Rheinmetall and used during the Second World War. It became progressively less effective as an anti-tank weapon as armor improved and was notoriously useless against the Soviet KV tanks, eventually acquiring the nickname Heeres Anklopf-Gerät ("Army device for knocking politely"). It was followed by its larger successor, the 5 cm Pak 38.
