Two last, yes, and if my poor eyesight doesn't deceive me, the first one also has M1910 muzzle booster. Sorry, the Maxim was the only point of discussion on this film was on forum.guns.ru. But there is a somewhat similar machine gun in Rodnye berega. Only the barrel with bipod is seen in this film, but what is seen, looks similar to the supposed MG08/15 in Ernst Thälmann. I found this screenshot in internet. The machine gunner at the left is lying down, which is uncommon for MG08, especially in comparison with the MG crew at the right. Maybe this is same dubious "08/15"? --Greg-Z (talk) 10:14, 19 January 2021 (EST)

'Curiouser and curiouser!' cried Alice... Forgotten Weapons describe that MG08/15 were improved during Interbellum, and one of the improvements was the bipod attachment at the muzzle. A photo of Wehrmacht soldiers with 08/15 shows the model with the bipod near the muzzle. So, it looks like we can identify the machine guns in both Ernst Thälmann and Rodnye berega as the modified MG08/15. A very interesting material! And there are photos of MG08 with muzzle boosters that look similar to Russian Maxim. So... all Maxims in Ernst Thälmann may be really German 08s, some with original muzzle and some with this version - possibly also Interbellum modification. --Greg-Z (talk) 11:56, 19 January 2021 (EST)
