Pacific Rim: Uprising is the 2018 science fiction sequel to 2013's Pacific Rim. The sequel finds the people of Earth once again having to battle a new breed of Kaiju. John Boyega stars in the film as Jake Pentecost, the son of Stacker Pentecost (Idris Elba), who finds he must face his legacy in order to save the earth from the new creatures. The film's cast includes Scott Eastwood, Cailee Spaeny, Jing Tian, and returning cast members Charlie Day, Burn Gorman and Rinko Kikuchi. Pacific Rim director Guillermo Del Toro returns as a producer for the sequel, which is being directed by Steven DeKnight, who produced Season 1 of the Netflix series Daredevil and makes his feature film directorial debut here.

In a deleted scene, Nate Lambert (Scott Eastwood) uses a futuristic rifle that appears to be a Lithgow Arms F90 housed in a futuristic shell. The Lithgow Arms official website reports the weapon as their Lithgow Arms F90.

Browning M2HBs can be seen mounted on many of the Pan Pacific Defense Corps (PPDC) vehicles.
