The Greatest Beer Run Ever is a 2022 biographical war comedy drama directed and co-written by Peter Farrelly (Green Book), based on the book of the same name by John "Chickie" Donohue and Joanna Molloy. Zac Efron stars in the film as Donohue, a young veteran who in 1967 sneaks into Southeast Asia in order to deliver some beer to his friends who are serving with the military at the height of the Vietnam War. The film's cast includes Russell Crowe, Will Hochman and Bill Murray. The film, which was based on actual events, premiered in the US on September 30, 2022, on the streaming service Apple TV+.
