Hotel Europa is a 2022 two-part German television miniseries directed by Thorsten Schmidt. The two-parter is based on true events and describes how Fritz Dreesen's family ran a highly renowned hotel in Bad Godesberg after the First World War. Guests such as Marlene Dietrich, Charlie Chaplin, and Gustav Stresemann stayed here, but also a man registered under the name of "stateless writer" named Adolf Hitler. Fritz and Maria Dreesen's hotel lived through the Roaring Twenties as well as the National Socialist era including all the dramatic twists and turns in politics and society. Meanwhile, the son Emil, who has returned from the war, processes his experiences in his mental baggage, which makes him susceptible to blackmail.
The following weapons were used in the television series Hotel Europa:
Capitaine Escoffier (David Berton) uses a Luger P08 in the first episode. An Oberleutnant (First lieutenant) (Makke Schneider), Emil Dreesen (Jonathan Berlin), and Robert Harthaler (Jesse Albert) are also seen with Luger pistols in various WWI flashbacks. Jupp Pützer (Peter Nottmeier) wields a Luger in Episode 2.
FN Model 1900
While having a conversation with Col. Soter (Jean-Yves Berteloot), Emil offers him an FN Model 1900.
Walther PPK
In Episode 2, Kurt Senkert (Werner Wölbern), Hans Senkert (David Hürten), SS-Standartenführer (Colonel) Harm Altmann (Florian Claudius Steffens), and members of Waffen-SS are seen using Walther PPKs.
Revolvers
MAS Mle. 1892
An Mle 1892 Revolver is holstered by Capt. Escoffier which is taken by Elsa Wahlen (Henriette Confurius).
Nagant M1895
When confronting Emil with what she has done, Elsa holds a Nagant M1895.
Rifles
Berthier Carabine Mle. 1916
Berthier Mle 1916 carbines are seen in hands of French soldiers during the occupation of the Rhineland.
Mauser Puška vz. 98/29
French Tirailleurs sénégalais are armed with VZ-98/29 Persian Mausers. These rifles are also seen in the WWI flashbacks.
Mauser Gewehr 1898
During two flashbacks, an accurate Gewehr 98 is briefly seen.
Karabiner 98k
Kurt Senkert (Werner Wölbern) and Karl Zerbes (Paul Faßnacht) wield Karabiner 98k in the second episode which is an anachronism since the plot takes in the late 1920s.
