Beyond the Front Line

Beyond the Front Line is a 2004 war film directed by Åke Lindman. Finland 1942: The Finnish Army uses all available forces on the Eastern Front to stop the overpowering Red Army. Lieutenant Harry Järv commands the reconnaissance and combat squads of the 61th Infantry Regiment. He and his men continue to go behind the front lines to deliberately attack Russian forces. They are very successful, but the mental pressure for Järv's men is growing, not least because the Russians use snipers against them.

Most Finnish and Soviet soldiers are armed with Mosin Nagant P26 rifles.
Mosin-Nagant M/28
The Finnish Civil Guard M/28 rifle is also used by Finnish soldiers.
Mosin-Nagant M/39
Some Finnish M39 rifles can also be seen used by Finns.
Mosin-Nagant M/28-30
A Finnish Civil Guard M/28-30 is also seen used by a Finnish soldier.
Mosin Nagant M91/30
Soviet sniper Smirnov (Jevgeni Haukka) uses a scoped Mosin Nagant M91/30.
Machine Guns
Degtyaryov DP-27
Finnish and Soviet soldiers are seen with DP-28s.
Maxim M/09-21
A Finnish heavy machine gun team is armed with a Maxim M/09-21.
Maxim M1910
Maxim M1910s are used by both sides.
Degtyaryov DT
Finnish StuGs are armed with Degtyaryov DTs. These StuGs are also used in the 2007 movie Tali-Ihantala 1944.
Hand Grenades
Harjoituskranaatti M/41
Finnish soldiers use Harjoituskranaatti M/41 ("practice grenade M/41") stick grenades.
Varsikranaatti M/41
During the night raid, Harry uses the correct Varsikranaatti M/41 stick grenades without the belt clips.
Munakäsikranaatti M/32
A Finnish M/32 Egg grenade is also seen in the hole.
RGD-33
At least, one Soviet soldier throws several RGD-33 stick grenades.

Flare Gun
A Soviet soldier fires an unknown flare gun.
