Hostage is a 2005 action thriller film starring Bruce Willis as Jeff Talley, a former Los Angeles SWAT officer and hostage negotiator who moves to a quiet California town after failing in a hostage negotiation. The quiet town's peace is shattered when a criminal's home is taken hostage, which results in Talley's own family being taken hostage. Talley is forced to once again act as a hostage negotiator to save his family. The film, which was directed by Florent Siri, features remarkably accurate gun choices, handling and correct firearm capacity.
The following weapons were used in the film Hostage:
Chief Jeff Talley (Bruce Willis) keeps a Kimber Custom TLE II .45 caliber handgun as his personal sidearm. He is seen with it tucked as a belly gun in the opening standoff and uses it to save his family at the end of the film. Clear shots can be seen showing Kimber's engraving on the gun. On the other side, a clear shot can be seen reading "LAPD SWAT CUSTOM", which makes sense as LAPD SWAT teams use Kimber Custom IIs, and Talley was a veteran of the LAPD SWAT.

The pistol is clearly live-firing in this shot. Note again, "LAPD SWAT CUSTOM" is visible on the slide. That careful attention to detail is incredible and rarely seen in Hollywood productions!
Glock 26
A Glock 26 is used by Chief Jeff Talley (Bruce Willis) as his backup weapon. He keeps a rubber band tightly wrapped around the grip for a better grip on the gun. The gun is classified as a Glock 26 based on its 10+1 capacity accurately depicted. The Glock 26 is also seen in the hands of Walter Smith (Kevin Pollak).
A Mossberg 590 with ghost ring sights is used by Chief Talley to breach the door to enter the house. He also uses it to blow out the glass waterfall to temporarily douse the flames.
M40A3 sniper rifles are used by police snipers (including the former LAPD SWAT Peter Weireter) to shoot out the security cameras of the house. They are identified as A3s because of their bipods, scope types, and heavy barrels.
