F is for Family is an animated television show created by Bill Burr and Michael Price that premiered on Netflix in 2015. The show ran for five seasons. The show follows a Korean War veteran (voiced by Burr) and his struggle with suburban life in the 1970s and the resulting drama with his wife (Laura Dern) and children.

One of the most recurring firearms throughout the show is a 3rd generation Colt Detective Special, which is most notably used by Reid Harrison (Phil Hendrie) as "Colt Luger," a TV show character that parodies action television shows in the 1970s, with Luger/Harrison himself being something of a direct parody of Charles Bronson. Though Luger's gun is a somewhat weak representation, it's still largely clear as to what it is supposed to be. The Detective Special can be spotted in Luger's hands throughout the series during short breaks to Luger related action on the TV, with it first appearing in "The Bleedin' in Sweden" (S1E01). The general quality of detail for this particular firearm can change rather drastically from shot to shot, however.
However, what appears to be a far more detailed Detective Special appears later in "Bill Murphy's Day Off" (S1E05), where Union president Louis "Snub-Nosed Louie" Gagliardi (Joe Buck) uses one to execute an animatronic singing bear. A police officer is later seen with one in "Landing the Plane" (S2E10).

Smith & Wesson Model 15
Vic Reynolds (Sam Rockwell) keeps a framed, gold-plated Smith & Wesson Model 15 in his house as a gift from a celebrity, first seen in "Breaking Bill" (S2E04). Later in "Pray Away" (S2E09) Vic breaks the gun out of its frame and begins to wildly fire it around his house due to both being angry at learning that his girlfriend had an affair and because he is very high on cocaine. The gun was drawn without a cylinder release.

Colt Trooper
Police officers and a Black panther-esque extremist are seen with Colt Trooper revolvers in "Landing the Plane" (S2E10), which appear to be something of a hybrid between the original model (given the exposed extractor and front sight) and the later Mk III revolvers, given the raised rib extending between the top of the frame and the front sight. A Mohican Airlines security guard in "Just Breathe" (S4E05) also has one of the Trooper hybrids, this time with a hammer and trigger that actually move when the revolver is operated, unlike their first appearance in the series.

Colt Python
A thug on the television show Colt Luger is seen with a four inch barreled Colt Python in the series premiere "The Bleedin' in Sweden" (S1E01). Vic Reynolds (Sam Rockwell) rather brazenly uses one during "Nothing is Impossible" (S4E01) to both shoot a drug-filled pinata and to force Otto Holtenwasser (Trevor Devall) to join a party.

M1911
A thug in the Colt Luger show is seen with a M1911 during the episode "Saturday Bloody Saturday" (S1E02). He's rather easily disarmed. A thoroughly more detailed M1911 appears on a school Gun Club poster in "Nothing is Impossible" (S4E01).

Luger P08
A Luger P08 is seen on a TV commercial for Colt Luger, thus bringing both guns that make up the character's namesake into the show, in the episode "The Trough" (S1E03).
Police snipers in "Landing the Plane" (S2E10) are seen armed with Enfield Enforcers as they overwatch an attempted airplane hijacking. Another one can be spotted in the war film The What We Did in "Paul Lynde to Block" (S3E03), where it can be seen being used by an American soldier, which is rather odd and incorrect, especially given that the animators actually had an M1 Carbine asset they could have given him, which would have been more accurate. However, given how much F is for Family parodies the pop culture of the 1970s, it is possible (though somewhat unlikely) that this is meant to be an incorrect prop given to the actor, which furthers the parody of a rather hokey and schmaltzy war-romance movie.

Demro XF-7 Wasp
Black Panther-esque extremists in "Landing the Plane" (S2E10) are seen taking over the Mohican Airlines airfield with Demro XF-7 Wasp carbines, based on the shape and location of the bolts, the design of the handguard, and the appearance of a stamp-metal stock. One of these same carbines can also be seen in the show's Season 2 intro.
Karabiner 98k rifles are seen in trailers for the World War II movie The What We Did, as well as in the movie itself, in "Paul Lynde to Block" (S3E03).
A Nazi soldier in a trailer for the movie The What We Did can be seen firing a Sturmgewehr 44 shortly before blowing up in "Paul Lynde to Block" (S3E03).
An M1 Carbine can be briefly glimpsed in "Paul Lynde to Block" (S3E03) when Bill Murphy (Haley Reinhart) dreams that he is in a scene from the movie The What We Did. One can also be briefly glimpsed in a scene from the movie itself. In both instances the M1 is seen with a heat shield.

American soldiers in a movie trailer for The What We Did can be seen with M1A1 Thompsons in "Paul Lynde to Block" (S3E03). A dream sequence experienced by Bill Murphy (Haley Reinhart) in the same episode feature himself in the same scene from the trailer, allowing for a better look at the Thompson as it runs across the screen.
High Standard FLITE KING K-1200 'Standard' pump-action shotguns are used by the police officers during a standoff with extremists at Mohican Airlines in "Landing the Plane" (S2E10).

Sawed-off double barreled shotgun
A motorcycle driving thug on Colt Luger is seen holding a sawed-off double barreled shotgun in "The Bleedin' in Sweden" (S1E01). The liquor store owner also has a sawed-off shotgun which he uses to fire at beer thieves with in "Punch Drunk" (S3E06), and later holds up Kevin Murphy (Justin Long) with it in "It's In His Blood" (S3E08).
In "R is for Rosie" (S4E07), Smokey Greenwood (Michael Kenneth Williams) gives Rosie Roosevelt (Kevin Michael Richardson) what appears to be a Drilling-type combination gun to use while he sits shotgun on Smokey's delivery truck. While walking into a scene with it, a "pumping" sound can be heard, despite the fact that Rosie is shown merely holding it with no further animation accompanying the sound effect.
