L'Intervention is a 2019 French action movie directed by Fred Grivois. The movie is directly inspired by the real hostage-taking of Loyada, Djibouti in 1976. When Somalis independantists hijack a school bus of French militaries personnel's children. The Gendarmerie send their best snipers. For the first time they will use the simultaned shot.
The following weapons were used in the film L'Intervention:
French Gendarmes, including GIGN members use the famous Manurhin MR-73.
Captain Gerval (Alban Lenoir) use a sport version with 5.25 barrel of the MR-73.
MAC Mle 1950
The leader of the terrorist (Kevin Layne) use a MAC Mle 1950 to threaten the teacher and kill a French Gendarme. Later Jane (Olga Kurylenko) take the pistol from the dead terrorist to defend the children. Some uniformed French Gendarmes and soldiers carry the pistol too.
One terrorist negociate with Somalian soldiers and lays his M1911 on a table.
Rifles
FRF1
The GIGN snipers use as main weapon, the MAS FR F1 rifles to realise a very efficient simultaned shot. Scopes seems to be civilian version.
AK Rifles
Terrorists and several Somalian soldiers use AK-47 and AKM with full stocks and folding stocks.
MAS 49/56
CIA observator Shafer, join the GIGN team when it miss a shooter to realise the simultaned shot. Captain Gerval give him a MAS 49/56 as weapon of choice.
