Petrovka, 38 is a Soviet 1980 detective movie directed by Boris Grigoryev and based on the novel by Yulian Semyonov. A group of MUR (Moscow Criminal Police) detectives investigate a series of heists. The movie is entitled after the adress of MUR head office on the Petrovka street. Petrovka, 38 was followed by a sequel Ogaryova, 6 (note: the sequel lacks any firearms).
