The following guns were used in the movie Defiance
Note: One thing is noteworthy, many of the World War Two era weapons appear to be mint condition, which correct considering the time frame. However, people now rarely, if ever, see any of these famous weapons in this nice of a condition.
Zus keeps this shotgun for protection and uses it when he goes into town seeking vengance. He takes two rounds to down his first victim, and hits another in the chest, just wounding him, which suggests he is using birdshot or another less powerful round. Has exposed hammers.
Some german soldiers are equipped with this weapon. Tuvia Bielski (Daniel Craig) and his brother Zus (Liev Schreiber) use some captured ones. Apparently, they don't notice you can unfold the stock.
Tuvia (Daniel Craig) uses a Walther P38 as his sidearm. He gives it to Lilka (Alexa Davalos) to protect herself during her food mission. Asael also uses one to kill one German.
Red Army soldiers are equipped with that weapon. At the end of the film, some partisans have it too, notably Asael Bielski (Jamie Bell).
Turkish Mauser M38
Zus (Liev Schreiber) is seen firing one early in the film as the refugees leave their first camp.
Mosin Nagant M91/30
Used by the Red Army soldiers and the Bielski partisans. During the nazi attack led by the milkman who gave the Nazi directions, the MP40 carried by Zus turns into a Mosin Nagant rifle when he shoots the milkman's arm.
At the end of the film, a German machine gunner team is setting their MG34, mounting it on a tripod, but Tuvia (Daniel Craig) takes them out by behind and uses the machine gun against the German infantry. The tank which he shoots at, also has a MG34. Earlier, during the Red Army ambush, a German soldier shoots it from the truck.
MG42
Used by some Germans.
Tokarev TT-33
During the Soviet ambush, Zus uses it to execute a German officer and a soldier. Near the end of the film, he shoots the tank commander with the Tokarev. Lilka's side arm is also a TT-33.
Model 24 Stielhandgrenate
A german hand grenade. But it is only used by the Bielski partisans during the film. Zus throws one under a German truck during the Red Army ambush and later throws one into a German tank. Near the end of the film, Isaac (Mark Feuerstein) attacks German soldiers with a bag of grenades.
