Patema Inverted

Patema Inverted is a 2013 Anime movie directed by Yasuhiro Yoshiura. Patema is the young princess of an underground living civilization, in whose cave and tunnel system numerous people once found refuge from the supposedly uninhabitable surface of the earth. The brave princess loves to explore the "Danger Zone", the dark corridors and tunnels outside her protected village, which she refuses to do even after being warned several times. After all, she was never told what was so dangerous there. During one of her excursions, however, she suddenly falls into a deep hole and finds herself on the surface of the earth, where everything seems to be upside down. With the help of the boy Eiji, she soon finds out that the gravity in his world works in exactly the opposite way to that in Patema's familiar environment. Together, the two try to defy the pitfalls of gravity and prevent Patema from falling into the sky.
