War of the Worlds is a loose adaptation of the 1898 science-fiction novel The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells.
In modern-day Europe, astronomers detect a strong radio signal originating from another star system- proof of the existence of an intelligent extraterrestrial species. As the world waits for first contact with the aliens, their craft suddenly arrive on Earth and begin a campaign of extermination against the Human race. The series focuses on a diverse group of survivors trying to find their loved ones and discern the motives and nature of the mysterious invaders. The series premiered in October 2019 and stars Gabriel Byrne, Elizabeth McGovern, Bayo Gbadamosi, and Daisy Edgar-Jones.
The following weapons were used in Season 1 of the television series War of the Worlds:
Pistols
Glock 17
A Glock 17 with no rails is taken by by ex-Sudanese child soldier/illegal migrant Kariem Gat Wich Machar (Bayo Gbadamosi) from the tactical holster of an Authorized Firearms Officer (AFO) in the aftermath of the worldwide EMP attack. Rachel (Georgina Smith) uses one in the third episode to shoot herself after the British underground command bunker is raided by alien quadrupedal scout bots.
SIG SP 2022
A SIG SP 2022 is seen in the second episode, carried by an armed looter after his group breaks into a bakery in the aftermath of the worldwide EMP attack.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
A Heckler & Koch MP5A3 with a Surefire light attached is seen in the third episode when Helen Brown (Elizabeth McGovern) takes it while exploring the underground command bunker.
Assault Rifles
Enfield SA80
The Enfield SA80 is used with British troops in the season. They're seen with or without any handguards.
Heckler & Koch HK416
The Heckler & Koch HK416 is used by French troops in the season. They're mostly equipped with EOTech sights.
SIG-Sauer MCX
A SIG-Sauer MCX is seen in the second episode, taken from an unused British Armed Response Vehicle (ARV) by Kariem after he sneaks into Hammersmith.
Sniper Rifles
Heckler & Koch HK417
The Heckler & Koch HK417 is used by a French soldier stationed in the French Alps before the worldwide invasion.
