Daybreakers is a 2009 Australian-American science-fiction action horror film written and directed by Michael and Peter Spierig. The film takes place in the year 2019, ten years after a plague has turned most of the Human race into vampires. Uninfected Humans are rounded up and farmed for blood, which is in critically short supply. Ethan Hawke plays Edward Dalton, a vampire scientist who hates his condition and is researching a synthetic blood substitute. Dalton encounters a group of Human survivors led by "Elvis" (Willem Dafoe), a former vampire who claims to know of a cure for vampirism.
The following weapons were used in the film Daybreakers:
When Dr. Edward Dalton (Ethan Hawke) arrives at Bromley Marks near the end of the film, two security guards draw Glock 34s and train them on him briefly.
Beretta 92FS
A small amount of vampire soldiers, including Frankie Dalton, carry the Beretta 92FS as a sidearm.
Heckler & Koch MP5
MP5A3s (along with a few MP5A2s) are used as the standard weapon for the vampire soldiers, they are all fitted with some sort of underbarrel launcher and fire tranquilizer rounds since their main job is to hunt down remaining Humans to harvest their blood. They typically have CCOs mounted on them or green laser sights (which actually help them aim since they can only view daylight scenes through video cameras mounted on their helmets).
SA Vz.61 Skorpion
Two vampire soldiers can be seen armed with SA Vz.61 Skorpions briefly when they converge on the newly cured vampire soldiers.
Some of the Humans use crossbow pistols, most notably Audrey Bennett (Claudia Karvan).
Crossbow
Most of the surviving Humans use standard crossbows, including Dr. Edward Dalton (Ethan Hawke).
DefTech 1315 Gas Gun
A DefTech 1315 Gas Gun is briefly seen being used by a police officer in the news report Dr. Edward Dalton watches in his car; the officer uses it to disperse a riot of people desperate due to the blood shortage.
Trivia
Vampire Army Humvees
The Humvees that the Vampire Army uses are actually Rhino Buggy Hammers, a bodykit used to replicate the Hummer.
