Mark of the Tortoise (Wartezimmer zum Jenseits ("Waiting Room to the Beyond") is a 1964 German B&W detective movie directed by Alfred Vohrer and adapted from the novel "Mission To Siena" by James Hadley Chase. Millionaire Sir Cyrus Bradley is being blackmailed by "The Tortoise" crime syndicate. When he refuses to pay, the gangsters kill him. Bradley's nephew and heir Don Micklem (Gotz George) is now a target of criminals. But Laura Lorelli (Hildegard Knef), the mistress of the gang boss, has her own goals in this case.
Alsconi's second-in-command Felix (Pinkas Braun) carries an Arminius HW-1 revolver. When Don Micklem disarms Felix, the revolver is taken by Laura Lorelli (Hildegard Knef). In the final scene Mario di Alsconi's (Richard Münch) holds an HW-1 revolver.
In the scene in Sir Cyrus Bradley's house, Don Micklem (Götz George) takes a Mauser HSc pistol from his uncle's table. He carries the pistol until Alsconi's henchman Giacopo (Frank Straass) disarms him.
During the conflict with Shapiro (Klaus Kinski), Laura Lorelli (Hildegard Knef) draws a pocket pistol. Later, in the scene in Alsconi's villa, she gives the pistol to Don Micklem (Götz George). Judging by the shape of the gun and aking into account the pocket pistols that can be seen in West German crime films of the 1960s, this pistol can be identified as .25 caliber Gecado Model 11 or Valor SM-11, or a non-lethal Reck P6 (all three guns are almost identical, except for minor details).
