My New Partner (original title Les ripoux, a French criminal slang word for corrupted cops) is a 1984 French crime comedy directed by Claude Zidi and starring Philippe Noiret as an experienced rascal police detective René Boirond and Thierry Lhermitte as his young and idealistic partner François Lesbuche. The film was followed by two sequels, My New Partner II (Ripoux contre ripoux) (1990) and Ripoux 3 (2003).

In one scene Marcel, Camoun's henchman, uses his pistol to open a bottle of Champagne. The pistol resembles a Colt Commander.

In the opening scene one of the police detectives holds a pistol that is supposed to be an FN Model 1910 or MAB Model D.
