LAPA FA 03 - 5.56x45mm NATO

The LAPA FA 03 is a Brazilian bullpup assault rifle. Originally designed to replace the IMBEL LAR (manufactured in Brazil under the FN FAL license), however, the IMBEL MD-2 was chosen as a result. Currently, a small number of these rifles are used by special units of the Brazilian police.

In the construction is used high impact plastic. The firing mechanism has two modes - normal and self-cocking, in which the weapon removed from the safety was carried with a cartridge in the chamber. That the trigger was in the deflated state, random shots were looked for, to open fire it was only necessary to pull the trigger. For the use of weapons by left-handed people, the case ejector window could be placed on both sides of the receiver.
