Unknown Visually Modified Machine Gun

I could be wrong but that looks like it has some parts of a M60 mixed with a M16 --SeanWolf (talk) 13:07, 11 June 2016 (EDT)

The back looks like a M60 while the front looks like a M16
This is a RPD--KINKI'boy (talk) 8:02, 12 June 2016 (JST)
The trigger guard looks like that of an MG34 to me. Spartan198 (talk) 06:25, 12 June 2016 (EDT)
My 'guesstimate' as to this Frankengun would be a FN MAG 58 (of which the trigger guard does look like the one on the MG34/42) with a modified heat shield and a MG42 rear sight, PeeWee055 (talk) 02:56, 13 June 2016 (EDT)
The base gun is RPD. The buttstock seems to be taken from DPM, and the front sight is of StG 44. As it is said already, MG34 and MG42 parts are also used. Greg-Z (talk) 15:29, 13 June 2016 (EDT)
Yes, you are right. Indeed the high rear sight indicates an RPD, my initial guess of the FN MAG seems illogical with this being a late 80's Russian movie. Let's put it down as an RPD, PeeWee055 (talk) 06:04, 14 June 2016 (EDT)
In fact, it's looks and not so much like a RPD. It is in fact a very strange mix of the different parts of the different weapons, and if not strange, it works! --Slon95 (talk) 07:01, 14 June 2016 (EDT)

"Note the cylinder moving, typical for Nagant M1895 system."

What is meant by this? I'm pretty sure cylinders move on every revolver. --PyramidHead (talk) 22:03, 28 July 2020 (EDT)

While I'm not the author of this text, I guess that this line refers to the Nagant gas-seal system, when the cylinder moved forward as it can be seen on second screenshot in comparison with the third one where the gap between the cylinder and the barrel is seen. --Greg-Z (talk) 00:57, 29 July 2020 (EDT)
