Chisum

Colt Single Action Army

John Chisum (John Wayne) keeps a 4 3/4 inch Colt SAA and uses it in the beginning of the film to kill the leader of the Mexican bandits who stole his horses. He wears it throughout the film and uses it in the end gunbattle as well.

James Pepper (Ben Johnson) also carries one with a 7.5 inch barrel and uses it to shoot at the Mexican bandits.

Billy the Kid (Geoffery Deuel) also carries one which he uses constantly. He is first seen using it to kill several Mexican bandits, and uses it to knock out Pat Garrett (Glenn Corbett) in the middle of the film. Billy shoots Sheriff Brady (Bruce Cabot) twice in the chest and one in the head with it, killing him. In the end gunbattle, Billy shoots several of the deputies.

Several other characters uses SAA's as well.

Winchester 1873

After emptying his Colt at the bandits, Billy pulls out a Winchester and prepares to continue firing but he is stopped by Chisum. In the end gunbattle, several deputies wield Winchesters. Pat Garrett keeps one and uses it to capture Billy. He also uses it in the end gunbattle.

Lawrence Murphy (Forrest Tucker) tries to shoot Chisum with one but misses with both barrels.

Pepper tries to shoot the new sheriff but misses.
