Numerous characters also can be seen armed with these mocked-up submachine guns. Some also feature the cooling barrel covers. It is difficult to explain these changes, but apparently they are meant to depict guns such as the Thompson M1928A1 and PPSh-41 (what is strange, because both are already in the film. But perhaps these scenes were filmed in other places, where these guns were not available).
