The Return of Sherlock Holmes is a British 1986-1988 TV series, starring Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes and Edward Hardwicke as Dr. Watson. Eleven short stories by Arthur Conan Doyle were adapted into the series.

Other Weapons Air Rifle Colonel Sebastian Moran (Patrick Allen ) uses his famous and deadly air gun in "The Empty House" (S01E01). The prop, used on screen, is a real masterpiece. It is fitted with a brass sniper scope. The firing mechanism includes a percussion cap hammer which hardly could be used on a real air gun.
