Generation Zero is a 2019 co-op, open world, first-person shooter survival game developed and published by Avalanche Studios. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic alternate-reality Sweden, which has become overrun by killer robot machines. According to the plot, these robots were built after World War II for defensive purposes however have subsequently become oppressive to humans and will attempt to kill the player on sight. The player assumes the role of a Swedish teenager who, upon returning from an island excursion, finds that their home has been abandoned and overrun with killer robots and must survive the Swedish wilderness while attempting to determine the fate of those who used to live there
Sidearms
Walther PP
The Walther PP appears as the "Möller PP". The base pistol has a capacity of 8 rounds (13 with extended magazine upgrade). Barrel can be fitted with a suppressor for less noticeably or a Muzzle brake for lower recoil. Pistol can be loaded with Full metal jacket or hollow point rounds. In game the description reads : A .32 ACP semi-automatic police pistol. Not very powerful, but easy to handle.
Glock 17
The Glock 17 appears as the "Klaucke 17" The base pistol has a capacity of 17 rounds (25 with extended magazine upgrade). Barrel can be fitted with a suppressor for less noticeably or a Muzzle brake for lower recoil. Pistol can be loaded with Full metal jacket or hollow point rounds (despite being the same chambering as the SMGs in the game the 9mm pistol ammo only works in the pistol while the SMG has its own ammo type). In game the description reads : A reliable, medium-power 9mm semi-automatic pistol. It is the standard-issue pistol for the Swedish police in 1989.
Ruger Super Redhawk
The Ruger Super Redhawk appears in-game as the ".44 Magnus". The base pistol has a capacity of 6 rounds (it is presently unknown if an extended magazine upgrade exists). Optional attachments include a short-range scope, a recoil-reducing muzzle brake, or a suppressor (despite the fact that, realistically, the gases escaping from the gap between the cylinder and barrel would render a suppressor pointless); two ammo types are also available (hollow point and FMJ, with the latter being both stronger and rarer).
Shotguns
Remington Model 870
The Remington Model 870 appears as the "12G Pump-Action". The base shotgun has a capacity of 6 rounds (unknown if extended magazine upgrade exist). Barrel can be fitted with a suppressor for less noticeably or a choke for tighter shot pattern. The gun can be loaded with bird shot (low accuracy, low damage but wider area of effect), buck shot (better accuracy and damage but smaller area) or slugs (best in Accuracy and damage but is like a rifle round) (ammo is shared between shotguns). A “shotgun” optic can be added along with various vision enhances or a red dot without enhances. In game the description reads : A classic and versatile 12-gauge pump-action shotgun. It can deliver high power at close range, and can be especially suited to remove armor despite its low rate of fire.
Sjögren shotgun
The Sjögren appears as the "Sjöqvist Semi-Auto". The base shotgun has a capacity of 5 rounds (unknown if extended magazine upgrade exist). Barrel can be fitted with a choke for tighter shot pattern but not a Suppressor. The gun can be loaded with bird shot (low accuracy, low damage but wider area of effect), buck shot (better accuracy and damage but smaller area) or slugs (best in Accuracy and damage but is like a rifle round) (ammo is shared between shotguns). No optics are availble. In game the description reads : An early semi-automatic Swedish shotgun with a higher rate of fire. The best close-range weapon. Especially suited to remove armor.
Submachine guns
Carl Gustav m/45 "Swedish K"
The Carl Gustav M/45 appears as the "M/46 "Kpist" SMG" can only be used in full auto fire mode. The base pistol has a capacity of 36 rounds (49 with extended magazine upgrade). Barrel can be fitted with a Suppressor for less noticeable, a Muzzle brake for lower recoil or longer barrel for higher damage. The SMG can be loaded with Full metal jacket or hollow point rounds (despite being the same chambering as the 9mm pistol in the game the SMG ammo only works in the SMG while the pistol has its own ammo type). A red dot optic can be added but without vision enhances. In game the description reads : The Swedish army's 9mm Submachine gun. Trades a slower rate of fire for a higher damage output.
Heckler & Koch MP5
The Heckler & Koch MP5 appears as the "MP5" can be toggled between Full and Semi-Auto modes. The base pistol has a capacity of 30 rounds (41 with extended magazine upgrade). Barrel can be fitted with a Suppressor for less noticeable, a Muzzle brake for lower recoil or longer barrel for higher damage. The SMG can be loaded with Full metal jacket or hollow point rounds (despite being the same chambering as the 9mm pistol in the game the SMG ammo only works in the SMG while the pistol has its own ammo type). A red dot optic can be added but without vision enhances. In game the description reads : The most widely used submachine gun in the world. 9mm. High rate of fire, but low damage.
Sniper Rifles
Sako 85
The Sako 85 appears as the "Meusser Hunting Rifle". The base rifle has a capacity of 5 rounds (unknown if extended magazine upgrade exists). Barrel can be fitted with a Suppressor for less noticeable. The rifle can be loaded with Full metal jacket or solf point rounds. A “rifle” optic can be added along with various vision enhances. In game the description reads : A popular light hunting rifle using the .243 caliber. It does the job reliably despite its low damage output. Slower and weaker than assault rifles.
Unknown Bolt action rifle
An unknown Bolt action rifle appears as the ""Älgstudsare" Hunting Rifle". The base rifle has a capacity of 4 rounds (unknown if extended magazine upgrade exists). Barrel can be fitted with a Suppressor for less noticeable. The rifle can be loaded with Full metal jacket or solf point rounds. A “rifle” optic can be added along with various vision enhances. In game the description reads : A powerful hunting rifle using the .270 caliber. Slower and weaker than assault rifles.
Barrett M82A1
The Barrett M82A1 appears as the "Pansarvärnsgevär 90". The base rifle has a capacity of 10 rounds (18 with extended magazine upgrade). The rifle can be loaded with full metal jacket or armor piercing rounds. Only the 6-12 “rifle” optic can be added along with various vision enhances. In game the description reads : A very high-powered .50 sniper rifle. Efficient against armor and semi-automatic, making it quicker to use
Assault Rifles
Heckler & Koch G3
The Heckler & Koch G3 in the swedish version Ak 4 appears as the "Automatgevär 4" can be toggled between Full and Semi-Auto modes.The base rifle has a capacity of 20 rounds (31 with extended magazine upgrade). Barrel can be fitted with a Suppressor for less noticeable, or longer barrel for higher damage. The rifle can be loaded with full metal jacket or armor piercing rounds. A red dot optic can be added but without vision enhances. In game the description reads : The standard assault rifle of the Swedish army between 1965 and 1986. Powerful, but slower and more difficult to handle.
FN FNC
The FN FNC in the swedish version Ak 5 appears as the "Automatgevär 5" can be toggled between Full and Semi-Auto modes. The base rifle has a capacity of 30 rounds (unknown if extended magazine upgrade exist). Barrel can be fitted with a Suppressor for less noticeable, or longer barrel for higher damage. The rifle can be loaded with full metal jacket or armor piercing rounds. A red dot optic can be added but without vision enhances. In game the description reads : A modern Swedish army assault rifle. Not very powerful, but great handling and speed.
AKM
The AKM appears as the "Al-76 Assault Rifle" can be toggled between Full, Semi-Auto, and 3 round burst modes. The base rifle has a capacity of 30 rounds (37 with extended magazine upgrade). Barrel can be fitted with a Suppressor for less noticeable, or longer barrel for higher damage. The rifle can be loaded with full metal jacket or armor piercing rounds. A red dot optic can be added but without vision enhances. In game the description reads : The most widely used assault rifle in the world. Very powerful, but very difficult to handle.
Explosives
Carl Gustav recoilless rifle
The Carl Gustav recoilless rifle appears as the "Granatgevär M/49". Can fire smoke to hide, EMP to temporarily disable robots, or High-explosives Multi-purposes. In game the description reads : A Swedish military recoilless rifle. A difficult weapon to handle, it does the most damage of all and has high range, but at a slow rate of fire. Perfect as an anti-armor weapon.
