The Scarlet Claw Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes and Nigel Bruce as Dr. Watson. This is the eighth installment to the series of fourteen Sherlock Holmes films starring Rathbone and Bruce. The plot isn't adapted from any Arthur Conan Doyle work but it bears resemblance to The Hound of the Baskervilles . During their visit to Quebec in Canada, Holmes and Watson are involved in the case of the legendary monster of La Mort Rouge (literally "the red death") village. The locals are convinced that this is the monster who killed Lady Penrose, but Holmes uncovers the man behind the crime.

Receivers of these shotguns are seen only partially, so it's hard to determine if these are Model 1897 or Model 1912 but the Riot gun bears more resemblance with Model 1897.
