Sherlock Holmes and the Voice of Terror is an American 1942 detective movie, directed by John Rawlins and starring Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes and Nigel Bruce as Dr. Watson. This is the third installment to the series of fourteen Sherlock Holmes films starring Rathbone and Bruce. Unlike two first movies, this one is set not in the original Victorian era but during WW2 and show Holmes confronting Nazi saboteurs, announcing their activities in Britian in advance by "The Voice of Terror" radio. The story includes elements of the Arthur Conan Doyle story "His Last Bow".

Sir Evan Barham (Reginald Denny), a high rank person in British Intelligence (whoes true indetity is Heinrich Von Bock, a German agent who replaced real Barham in days of WW1), holds some compact revolver when he pretends to driving Meade away from a landing German plane. In previous moment in same scene he had a Ruby pistol.
British officer Harrison (Arthur Stenning) holds a large frame Colt or Smith & Wesson revolver during the operation against German soldiers, secretly stationed in an abandoned church.
Pistols
Mauser Model 1914
Nazi agent R.F.Meade (Thomas Gomez) and one of his henchmen are armed with Mauser M1914 pocket pistols.
Walther Model 4
A pistol that appears to be a Walther Model 4 is used by another Meade's henchman.
Savage 1907
One more Meade's henchman is armed with a Savage 1907 pistol.
Luger P08
Meade (Thomas Gomez) and several Nazi officers carry Luger P08 pistols in the scene in an abandoned chirch.
Ruby
A pistol that appears to be some Ruby model is seen during the encounter between Meade's henchmen and London criminals. Sir Evan Barham (Reginald Denny) holds a compact hammerless pistol that is also supposed to be a Ruby in the night scene with a landing German plane. During the scene Barham's gun switches to an unidentified revolver (see above) and then back to pistol.
Submachine Guns
Thompson M1921A/AC
Thompson M1921 submachine guns are used by several British soldiers during the operation against German soldiers, secretly stationed in an abandoned church. One of the Thompsons have Cutts compensator while others lack it.
Some armoured vehicles are seen loaded on landing crafts of LCA or LCM types. These are small vehicles, without roof, and armed with two machine guns or a small caliber cannon and a machine gun.
