Sky Without Stars is a 1955 West German film directed by Helmut Käutner. The young Anna Kaminski lives directly at the zonal border in Thuringia. Her son, whose father died in the war, lives with his grandparents in Bavaria, only a few kilometers to the west. Since she wants to see him again and again, she steals secretly across the border. At one of her aisles, she meets the Bavarian border police, Carl Altmann. The West German helps Anna to illegally bring her son to the East and both fall in love. But the only way to meet is between the borders in an abandoned train station. After all, Anna wants to finally flee to the Western sector with her son, but the borders are getting denser.
The following weapons were used in the film Sky Without Stars:
Bavarian Grenzpolizei including Carl Altmann (Erik Schumann) are armed with Walther PP pistols. While Carl is seen carrying one in his holster, a border guard fires it at the end of the movie.
Tokarev TT-33
A Tokarev TT-33 pistol is the personal sidearm of Willi Becker (Georg Thomalla) which he gives to Carl to protect himself and Anna.

The M1 Carbine is briefly seen used by an GDR Vopo and a Grenzpolizist.

Mischa Bjelkin (Horst Buchholz) and other Soviet soldiers are seen with PPSh-41 submachine guns. As Carl runs for help for Anna, he is stopped by an East German patrol armed with these submachine guns.

Flare Pistol
An East German uses an unknown Flare pistol to alert his Soviet comrades.
Tank
Some T-34/85 mockup tanks can be seen near the Red Army camp.
