Lewis is a British detective drama TV series, a spin-off of Inspector Morse series. Robert "Robbie" Lewis (Kevin Whately), Morse's sergeant in the original series, is promoted to DI and continued his work in the Thames Valley Police. In the latest series, Lewis had retired from the police, but is brought back as a consultant. Stories are mostly set in Oxford, often connected with the University of Oxford.

In "Reputation" (Pilot episode) Danny Griffon (Charlie Cox) owns a Smith & Wesson Model 10HB revolver that is used as a murder weapon several times throughout the episode. Dr. Laura Hobson correctly identifies it a .38 gun.

Smith & Wesson Model 60

In the opening scene in "Old School Ties" (S01E02) an Oxford student Jo Gilchrist (Frances Albery) gets a Smith & Wesson Model 60 revolver as a birthday present. David Harvey (James Russell) who gifted the revolver claims that it was his grandfather's wartime gun (which is obviously wrong for Model 60).
