The Happening
The following weapons were used in the film The Happening:
SIG-Sauer P226
A Philadelphia police officer pulls out a SIG-Sauer P226 to kill himself when the effect hits Rittenhouse Park. This pistol is picked up and used by others.
A SIG-Sauer P-226 pistol is also used by a U.S. Army military policeman, PFC Auster. This is incorrect. While some SIG-Sauer P-220 series pistols are issued in the United States military, they are extremely limited, and it is unlikely that a common military policeman would have them. Instead, a military policeman, or any of the other military branches' police units (i.e. USN master-at-arms, USAF security forces) would be equipped with the standard Beretta-USA M9 service sidearm.
Mossberg 500 Field
An unidentified man inside an old house uses a Mossberg 500 Field Shotgun to shoot at teenagers who are trying to break into their home for some food.
Unknown rifle
An unidentifiable rifle is seen poking out of a window. It appears to be a heavy barreled .308 variant of some sort with no rifle front sights. Being that we only see the end of the barrel, it could be anything from a Remington 700V to a Thompson Contender.
Iver Johnson M1 Carbine
Some men are arming themselves in Fairfield, Nebraska as they watch the crisis unfolding on the television set. An Iver Johnson M1 Carbine (with late model heat shield and wooden foregrip) is seen on a table near the television. This M1 Carbine is the standard length barrel, but has an Iver Johnson Enforcer stock, i.e. twin pistol grips and no buttstock. A Second M1 Carbine with an Enforcer stock set up is seen leaning against a trunk near the cooler.
MGC M16
One of the men locks and loads a MGC M16 Replica rifle updated with an A1 "birdcage" Flash hider, A2 handguards and a 30 round magazine.
Colt AR-15A3 Tactical Carbine
His friend behind him locks and loads what looks to be a Colt AR-15A3 Tactical Carbine - 5.56mm. It is a heavy barreled 16" carbine that doesn't have the step down found on the M4 style barrels. It could be anything from a Bushmaster HB Carbine to a Pac West Commando, so the Colt nomenclature will be used as a default.
AK-47
Also in Fairfield, NE, a man, sitting near a cooler, is loading up an AK-47 variant.
M1911A1
Seen in the Fairfield segment, the man in the back adjusts his shoulder holster rig. During his adjustment we can see that it is an M1911 variant.
Winchester Model 1300 Shotgun
Seen near the cooler in the garage.
Unidentified Bolt Action Rifle
Could be a Sako hunter, but not verified at this point. It is yet another firearm near the cooler in the garage.
Unidentified Bull Barreled Rifle
The man holding the AK-47 also has a Bull barreled rifle near his legs. Again it is impossible to identify other than general type.
Smith & Wesson 916A Shotgun
Also in Fairfield, NE, a S&W 916A Shotgun is leaning against the wall to the right (see pic)
Remington 870 Field Shotgun
Also in Fairfield, NE, a Remington 870 Field Shotgun with ribbed 28" barrel and sporting wood is leaning against the wall to the right (see pic)
