Talk:Ray Donovan (TV Series)
Page naming
Would it not be more logical to rename the page 'Ray Donovan - Season 1'? Adding a year would imply there's another piece of media with the same name and this is not the case. Even though, so far, the show's 3 seasons neatly follow the years (Season 1 = 2013, Season 2 = 2014, Season 3 = 2015) I think it would make more sense to follow the logic as in the naming of the pages for The X-files. - PeeWee055 (talk) 08:30, 29 May 2015 (EDT)
- I wasn't sure if there would be a season split at all. The only reason I added the year was to make it clear it wasn't an actor page. If the page is split into seasons, then sure, Ray Donovan - Season x would be fine. --Funkychinaman (talk) 09:07, 29 May 2015 (EDT)
- Has anything been formally agreed on this subject? After all, we have pages like Jackie Brown and Donnie Brasco but if you think adding the year makes more sense, go ahead. By the way, isn't it a nice idea for an IMFDB pub quiz: name as many movies as possible with names that could double as actor names :-), PeeWee055 (talk) 10:32, 29 May 2015 (EDT)
- I first saw it with Anthony Zimmer, and it makes sense. (Jack Reacher, Rooster Cogburn) --Funkychinaman (talk) 10:47, 29 May 2015 (EDT)

Yup, on second thought I must admit it makes sense to add something to a title that looks like an actor name for reasons of clarity. Probably adding 'Season X' to a tv series and adding a year to a movie would be most logical I guess. - PeeWee055 (talk) 12:02, 29 May 2015 (EDT)
Season 6
I think Jon Voight used a Taurus PT92, Ray at the end of the series used a subcompact, possibly a glock or a hammerless Sig. Domenick Lombardozzi used a custom glock 19 during a climatic moment of episode 11. --Slemke1998 (talk) 16:23, 15 January 2019 (EST)
- Correct, Mick (Jon Voight) used an older-model Taurus PT92, as did the police lieutenant played by Tony Curran. Ray's pistol is actually a Smith & Wesson M&Pc. -MT2008 (talk) 18:53, 15 January 2019 (EST)
- Thanks for the correction about Ray's pistol, was really hard to see considering he mostly used it in a dark building at awkward angles. This show needs some more love from the community. Sure, at first it was mostly just Ray's G21, but as the show's progressed there's more and more firearms included. Like I said before, there was even a custom G19 in the latest season. --Slemke1998 (talk) 05:11, 4 February 2019 (EST)
