A Trap for Jackals (Kapkan dlya shakalov) is a Soviet 1985 adventure detective movie directed by Mukadas Makhmudov. In early 1920s the treasures of Qurboshi (chieftan) Gaib-bek were hidden in a remote cave somewhere in Tajikistan. In 1984 Militsiya detective Maj. Farid Azizov investigates a murder and finds out that it is connected with the treasure map.

During the events of 1920s Nagant M1895 revolvers are used by basmachi, including Qurboshi Gaib-bek (Elgudzha Burduli) and his henchman Yusuf (Konstantin Butayev). During the events of 1984 wrongly accused Akbar Rakhmanov (Andrey Podoshian) confronts a real murderer with a Nagant that belonges to his sister, circus trick shooter Tajinisso Akhmadova (Alla Renzyayeva).
Makarov PM pistols are service sidearms of Soviet Militsiya. They are seen in hands of Maj. Farid Akhmedovich Azizov (Nurullo Abdullayev) and Sr.Lt. Abdulayev (Iso Abdurashidov).
