Problem with Three Unknowns (direct translation of the original title Zadacha s tremya neizvestnymi) is a Soviet 1980 (filmed 1979) made for TV two-part detective movie directed by Boris Shadurskiy. Ugolovny Rozysk (criminal police) detectives Dorokhov and Matushkin investigate an armed robbery.
The following weapons were used in the film Problem with Three Unknowns (Zadacha s tremya neizvestnymi):
Makarov PM
Makarov PM pistols, service sidearms of Militsia personnel, are seen in hands of Major Andrey Dmitrievich Dorokhov (Leonhard Merzin) and Lt. Matushkin (Vladimir Gerasimov) on shooting range. Strangely, their PMs switch to TT-33 pistols in action scenes.
Tokarev TT-33
During the arrest of the robber Kopylov both detectives, Dorokhov and Matushkin, carry TT-33 pistols that in reality were long removed from Militsia service. A TT pistol are also used by Boris Kopylov (Boris Shcherbakov) and briefly seen in hands of his accomplice Nikolay Makeyev (Yuri Astafyev).
