The Cabbage Soup (original title Le Tatoué) is a 1981 French sci-fi comedy directed by Jean Girault and starring Louis de Funès, Jean Carmet, and Jacques Villeret.

A double barreled shotgun is used three times in the film. The first time is when Claude "Le Glaude" Ratinier (Louis de Funès) sees the alien that he calls "La Denrée" (Jacques Villeret), only to realize that he is friendly. The second time, Le Glaude uses the shotgun to threaten Francis "Le Bombé" Chérasse (Jean Carmet) upon learning that the latter slept with Le Glaude's wife in the past. Finally, Le Bombé equips the shotgun and uses it to expel the mayor from his house.
