The End of "Saturn" (Konets "Saturna") is a Soviet 1968 (filmed 1967) B&W spy movie directed by Villen Azarov and based on the novel by Vasili Ardamatsky. It is the second movie of the trilogy, preceded by Way into "Saturn" (Put v "Saturn") (1967) and followed by The Battle After the Victory (Boy posle pobedy) (1972). The main character of the trilogy, Soviet intellegence agent Krylov (Mikhail Volkov) infiltrates the German intelligence center "Saturn". He participates in disinformation operation that leads to neutralizing of the activities of "Saturn".
The following weapons were used in the film The End of "Saturn" (Konets "Saturna"):
German soldiers carry MP40 SMGs in several scenes. During partisans attack Olkhovnikov (Nikolay Grabbe) is armed with an MP40. Maj. Wilhelmy (Nikolai Prokopovich) uses an MP40 when firing at escaping Andronov.
In the same scene a soldier carries a full-length rifle that has a short side mounted stacking rod that can be seen on French Lebel Mle 1886 and Berthier Rifles and on Austrian Mannlicher M1895.
