About
The China North Industries Corporation, officially known in English as Norinco, is a state-run conglomerate involved in the production of vehicles, chemicals, machinery and other industrial products. It is best known, however, for the production and export of firearms and other types of military ordnance, and is China's largest weapons manufacturer. Though most commonly associated with its cold war-era Soviet and to a lesser extent Western weapon knock-offs, the company now has its own range of locally-designed systems.
In recent years, they have handled marketing for small arms made by other small arms makers in China for overseas such as Changfeng Machinery (now a part of Jianshe Industry Group) and Huaqing Machinery.
