I am a shooter and gun rights supporter from New Zealand who enjoys seeing firearms portrayed and used properly in movies and on TV. I am particularly fond of movies such as Ronin, Way of The Gun, Blood Diamond, Jack Reacher, the John Wick series, Atomic Blonde, and pretty much anything made by Michael Mann, who is my favourite director. I feel that Terminator 2: Judgement Day is the finest action movie ever made and while not perfect, gets a lot right when it comes to firearms. No country for Old Men and the recent TV series Deep State deserve honourable mentions in this company as well. I would encourage everyone to join the Sporting Shooters Association of New Zealand(SSANZ), the Council of Licenced Firearms Owners(COLFO), Gun Owners of America(GOA), the Second Amendment Foundation(SAF), and Knife Rights. Also, support your local gun store while they are still around. Internet sales and big-box stores and driving them out of business but they could both disappear very easily. As we have seen, big-box stores will give up on selling guns under the slightest pressure and one anti-gun bill could put an end to online sales. All we would be left with are small gun shops, but not if they all went out of business already. Gun shops are a crucial part of the gun community and need to be preserved at all costs.
