Pacific Rim: Uprising is the 2018 science fiction sequel to 2013's Pacific Rim. The film's cast included John Boyega, Scott Eastwood and returning cast members Charlie Day, Burn Gorman and Rinko Kikuchi. Pacific Rim director Guillermo Del Toro returns as a producer for the sequel, which is being directed by Steven DeKnight.

In a deleted scene, Nate Lambert (Scott Eastwood) uses a futuristic rifle that appears to be a Steyr AUG A3 housed in a futuristic shell. The Lithgow Arms official website reports the weapon as their Lithgow Arms F90.

Browning M2HBs can be seen mounted on many of the Pan Pacific Defense Corps (PPDC) vehicles.
