We Want the Colonels Vogliamo i colonnelli ) is a 1973 Italian political comedy directed by Mario Monicelli . Giuseppe Tritoni (Ugo Tognazzi ), a ultra-right-wing politican, plans a coup d'etat together with several army and navy high rank officers. Only a series of grotesque comical obstacles prevent them from a success.
