Many of the Major Case Squad detectives, including Det. Robert Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio), Det. Alexandra Eames (Kathryn Erbe), Det. Nola Falacci (Alicia Witt) and Det. Mike Logan (Chris Noth) carry the Glock 19 pistol as their sidearm throughout the show. In reality, the Model 19 is the only Glock model authorized by the NYPD for onduty carry by its officers.
Glock 26
Although she appeared to carry a model 19 for the pilot episode, Det. Alexandra Eames (Kathryn Erbe) carries a Glock 26 as her sidearm for the remainder of the series. The Glock 26 is also the sidearm of choice for Det. Carolyn Barek (Annabella Sciorra), Det. Megan Wheeler (Julianne Nicholson) and Detective Serena Stevens (Saffron Burrows). In reality, the Glock 26 is only authorized to be carried as an offduty weapon.
Kahr K9
Det. Zach Nichols (Jeff Goldblum) carries a Kahr K9 as his sidearm. He notably pulls it in Season 9's "Broad Channel" (S9E03). At the time, the Kahr K9 was one of the handguns authorized for carry by the NYPD.
Jericho 941 R "Baby Eagle"
Gordon "G-Man" Thomas (Bokeem Woodbine) threatens Detective Logan with a nickel Jericho 941 R in "Flipped" (S6E14).
Budischowsky/Norton TP-70
In the series premiere "One" (S1E01), Karl Atwood (Jake Weber) brandishes what appears to be a Budischowsky/Norton TP-70 compact pistol to threaten a man getting out of his car.
Pocket Pistol Non-Gun
When Atwood uses his gun in "One" (S1E01), the stainless pocket pistol appears to be a Non Gun.
Ruger P90
In Season 6's "Flipped" (S6E14), a Ruger P90 (identified as simply a ".45 Ruger" by Detective Logan) is the weapon used to kill rapper "Fulla T" (Fab 5 Freddy).
Smith & Wesson 645
In "Purgatory" (S7E11), Goren is seen carrying a Smith & Wesson 645 as his sidearm while working undercover.
Revolvers
Colt Detective Special
A Colt Detective Special 3rd Gen was the main service weapon carried by Det. Mike Logan (Chris Noth). He is notably seen holding it in Season 7's "Senseless" (S7E10). As Detective Logan had been serving on the force for twenty-five years, it would not be uncommon for veteran NYPD Detectives, who were sworn officers prior to 1993, to carry Detective Specials. However, the service weapon Logan was seen carrying in the original Law & Order was a Smith & Wesson Model 36.
Smith & Wesson Model 629
A Smith & Wesson Model 629 is pulled by a murder suspect in Season 1's "The Pardoner's Tale" (S1E08).
A Henry US Survival break-down rifle is the weapon used in an assassination attempt in "Assassin" (S7E14).
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5K
In "Pilgrim" (S2E08), what appears to be a Heckler & Koch MP5K is carried by ESU officers. This appears to be a Non Gun.
Heckler & Koch MP5K-PDW
ESU officers are also seen armed with what appear to be Heckler & Koch MP5K-PDW SMG's throughout the series.
Spectre M4
A Spectre M4 is seen held in "Stray" (S3E06). The submachine gun seen doesn't have the foregrip and doesn't appear to have the stock either, making it most likely the semi-auto version of the Spectre.
A mounted M240B is seen used aboard a tourist yacht in "Loyalty, Part 1" (S9E01).
Shotguns
Browning BPS Hunter
In Season 1's "Phantom" (S1E16), Gerry Rankin (Michael Emerson) is seen holding a Browning BPS Hunter shotgun on his children. Detective Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) later is seen with the shotgun.
Ithaca 37
The Ithaca 37 shotgun is seen in the hands of ESU officers as well as Capt. Deakins (Jamey Sheridan).
Other
RPG-7
Assassins aboard a boat disguised as a tourist yacht are seen loading and firing an RPG-7 in "Loyalty, Part 1" (S9E01).
FIM-43 Redeye
In "Loyalty, Part 1" (S9E01), an FIM-43 Redeye is seen being tested.
