The Road to Calvary (Khozhdenie po mukam) is a Soviet 1957-1959 three-part mini series directed by Grigoriy Roshal and based on the eponymous historical novel trilogy by Aleksey Nikolayevich Tolstoy. The series depict the fate of sisters Dasha and Katya Bulavins and their beloved ones, Ivan Telegin and Vadim Roshchin, during the Great War, Russian revolution and Russian Civil war.
The mini series is the first screen adaptation of the novel, followed by 1977 TV series, and 2017 TV series.
The following weapons were used in the film The Road to Calvary (Khozhdenie po mukam):
Nagant M1895 revolvers are most often used handguns in the series, notably used by Ivan Ilyich Telegin (Vadim Medvedev), Vadim Petrovich Roshchin (Nikolai Gritsenko), and Nestor Ivanovych Makhno, known as Bat'ka Makhno (Vitaliy Matveev).
Note: as there are too many Nagant-wielding characters, some screenshots are placed on talk page.
Pocket Revolver
In one scene in "Sisters" (Part 1) Nikolay Ivanovich Smokovnikov (Viktor Sharlakhov) threatens his wife Ekaterina Dmitrievna (Rufina Nifontova) with a pocket revolver of unknown model. This is possibly a toy cap gun.
Pistols
Mauser C96
Mauser C96 pistols are often seen during the events of Russian civil war in "Eighteenth Year" and "Somber Morning", notably used by Bolshevik Chugai (Boris Andreyev), Red commanders Gymza (Mikhail Gladysh) and Sorokin (Evgeniy Matveev), and brigand Aleksey Krasilnikov (Leonid Parkhomenko).
In "Somber Morning" (Part 3) Lyova Zadov (Vladimir Belokurov), Makhno's chief of counterintelligence, has an FN Model 1905-style pocket pistol, possibly some Spanish or Czech version.
Various pistols
In "Eighteenth Year" (Part 2) Samara militsioneers, subordinates of Semyon Govyadin, carry various pistols that are seen too unclear to be identified for sure.
Rifles
Mosin Nagant M1891
Historically correct Mosin Nagant M1891 rifles are widely used during the events of Great War and Russian revolution and Civil war. Both Infantry and Dragoon models can be seen.
Note: as there are too many M91/30-wielding characters, some screenshots are placed on talk page.

Berdan No.2 Carbine
In one scene in Part 2 a Cossack of personal guard of White Army Commander-in-chief Gen. Denikin carries a carbine that appears to be outdated Berdan No.2 Carbine.
Mannlicher M1888-90
In "Sisters" (Part 1) a guard in Austro-Hungarian camp for Russian POWs is armed with a Mannlicher rifle. It appears to be a pre-M1895 model, most likely M88-90 or M89.
Mauser Gewehr 98
Most Austro-Hungarian soldiers in "Sisters" (Part 1) are armed with Mauser Gewehr 98 rifles instead of correct Mannlichers. In "Somber Morning" (Part 3) several of Makhno's men carry Gewehr 98s.
Mauser Karabiner 98k
When Praporshik Ivan Telegin (Vadim Medvedev) makes a break from POW camp, he disarms an Austro-Hungarian soldier, carrying an anachronistic Karabiner 98k rifle.
Mauser Karabiner 98b
In the same scene another Russian officer, Capt. Zhukov (Pyotr Modnikov), also disarms a soldier and takes his rifle. This is a full-length Mauser with turned down bolt handle that appears to be a Karabiner 98b.
Simonov SKS
Incredibly out of time Simonov SKS carbines are seen in battle scenes in "Somber Morning" (Part 3).
Assault Rifles
AK-47
In one scene in "Somber Morning" (Part 3) wounded Telegin, being in fever, has a surrealistic nightmare of attacking White troops, armed with nothing less that AK-47 assault rifles.
Machine Guns
Maxim M1910/30
Maxim M1910/30 machine guns, standing for original M1910s, are seen in several scenes. Some of them are of post-1940 version.
Other Weapons
RG-14 Hand Grenade
In one scene in "Eighteenth Year" (Part 2) commander of Varnavsliy regiment Gymza (Mikhail Gladysh) gives a top secret dispatch, tied to an RG-14 or RG-14/30 hand grenade, to Telegin (Vadim Medvedev).
Dummy Training Grenade
Dummy training grenades are used instead of RG-14s by Red troops and uprising workers of Ekaterinoslav in "Eighteenth Year" and "Somber Morning".
