The No. 69 High-Explosive Grenade was used by the Commonwealth Forces in WW2. The grenade used the "Allways" impact fuze meaning that as soon as the grenade hit the ground, the fuze would detonate. The body of the grenade is made of bakelit. This is a percussion type anti-personel H.E. grenade which produces mainly a blast effect. As this grenade was an offensive type, it had a rather low effect in open spaces but it found its use in house cleaning situations.
