The Foreigner is a 2017 action thriller film starring Jackie Chan as Ngoc Minh Quan, a British-Vietnamese citizen whose daughter is killed in a bombing in London. When he tries to get the names of the bombers, Quan is thwarted by Liam Hennessey (Pierce Brosnan), a British government official who apparently knows their identities. Quan then uses his skills as a former Special Forces soldier to get the men responsible. The film was adapted from a 1992 novel written by Stephen Leather and was directed by Martin Campbell, who reunites with Brosnan for the first time since his debut as James Bond in GoldenEye (1995).
