Jordskott

Jordskott is a Swedish mystery drama that incorporates some fantasy elements, set in the fictional rural town of Silverhöjd ("Silver Heights"). It was first broadcast by SVT in Sweden and ITV Encore in 2015 the United Kingdom and Canal+Seriale in Poland in 2016.
Season 1 focuses on Detective Eva Thörnblad (Moa Gammel), who returns to her hometown several years after her daughter went missing. When other children begin disappearing under similar circumstances, she liaises with local and national law enforcement to look for similarities between this disappearance and that of her daughter.
As the series progresses, it becomes apparent that the disapearance of the children is inextricably tangled with the conflict between local and mystical elements who desire to protect the forest and the community at large that depends on Eva's late fathers company: Thörnblad Mineral & Cellulosa.
Season 2 will continue and expand on storylines set out in the first season. It is due to air in 2017.
