why the character has to charge the bolt each time

You missed the most obvious reason. The production was cheapskates or ignorant about guns, so they procured a weapon that was NOT blank adapted and had to do it that way to cycle the blanks. MoviePropMaster2008 (talk) 03:20, 1 September 2017 (EDT)

Concerning the film's topic

Is vigilantism against immigrants crossing the U.S.-Mexican border something that has ever occurred? I've read articles of ranchers "detaining" immigrants for border patrol, and watched a documentary on the Arizona Border Recon (a militia group that intercepts drug cartel activity and turns over cartel members to law enforcement). But I haven't heard of any cases of people just outright gunning immigrants down (aside from murders attributed to the cartels). -User:1morey September 14th, 2017 10:24 AM (EST)
