Ruger Model 44 Deerstalker - .44 Magnum

Ruger Model 44 is a semi auto hunting rifle, chambered in .44 Magnum (hence the number of the model). It was produced from 1961 to 1985 and discontinued due to high production costs. Model 44 appeared under the name "Deerstalker" but this name was abandoned in 1962 due to a lawsuit by Ithaca Gun Company. The design of Model 44 influenced the Ruger 10/22 rifle.
