Man on Fire Scott Glenn as Christopher Creasy, a burnt-out former CIA operative turned bodyguard of twelve-years-old Italian girl Samantha Balletto, daughter of a wealthy businessman. After some time they become close friends. Then Samantha is kidnapped, and Creasy got a severe wound. Despite weakness, Creasy is determined to get Samantha back at all costs.
The film is based on the 1980 novel of the same name written by A. J. Quinnell. A second feature film adaptation of the novel directed by Tony Scott and starring Denzel Washington as Creasy was released in 2004.
